Employment Program Geared for Clients or Program Participants
A multi-module, job readiness program designed to empower individuals who are engaged in:
Housing programs
Substance use disorder or mental health treatment programs
Educational programs, and are seeking employment
This workshop provides participants with tools, skills, and support that will enable them to secure and maintain employment. The program consists of six modules that address various aspects of job readiness and employment. We incorporate trauma-informed principles including:
Safety
Culture
Gender and Historical Background
Choice
Collaboration
Empowerment
Peer support
Resume & Cover Letter Sessions For Students, Recent Graduates, or Youth Involved In Career Training
Weekly 1.5 hour group or individual meetings designed to provide youth with skills and knowledge to navigate the employment process. This program aims to create a supportive and inclusive environment where participants can:
Develop resilience
Build self-confidence
Acquire practical tools to overcome barriers to employment.
In addition to learning job readiness skills and engaging in employment preparation activities, meetings focus on:
Building language to describe skills and work experience
Teaching strategies to develop mechanisms that help to deal with stress, setbacks and pursue goals for success
Assessing work values and interests
Career Planning & Interest Assessment Workshop
The Career Planning and Interest Assessment Workshops are geared for clients and program participants enrolled in human service and educational programs. The workshop is 2.5 hour exploration of:
Interests
Skills
Values
Career goals
The workshop combines interactive information sessions, group activities, and an introduction to resources and assessment tools.
Participants can practice using tools that enable them to investigate the costs and advantages of certification programs and continuing education in their desired field. They will also develop long and short-term career goals, including skill, credentialing and educational development plans.

Housing Or Mental Health Case Manager Train The Trainer Employment Workshop
This 3.5-hour workshop is designed for Case Managers and Program Managers who already have a strong understanding of Trauma Informed Care. The focus of the workshop is to support staff who are working with individuals who are seeking employment opportunities, and who have a history of trauma or adverse childhood experiences.

Resources to provide comprehensive support using strategies for building rapport, establishing boundaries, promoting self-care using a trauma-informed framework.
Participants will learn how language, family and cultural identity, and tolerance for risk affect individuals’ ability to seek and maintain employment, including potential barriers and triggers that may arise in workplace settings.
